Track behavioral incidents, uncover the patterns, and share what helps.
On the App Store since 2013. Version 4 is a ground-up rebuild for iPhone and, for the first time, Android.
Version 4 is in development for iPhone and Android. The original app was retired from sale in 2026 while the rebuild is finished, so there is nothing to download just yet.

What it does
Tantrum Tracker helps parents, guardians, and caregivers make sense of a child's challenging behavior. Log each incident as it happens, and over time the app reveals the patterns: what tends to set things off, what helps, and how things are trending. It was created for families navigating autism and behavioral challenges, and it works just as well for tracking an adult.
There is a free version, and it is not a trial — it does not expire. Here is exactly what each plan includes.

Made for the day-to-day of caregiving
Log incidents in seconds
Capture behavior, severity, location, trigger, response, what helped, and outcome with quick taps. Start and end times compute the duration for you.
As many as actually applied
The original app allowed one behavior, one precipitator, one mitigator, one response, one resolution. Real incidents are rarely that tidy. Subscribers can pick every option that applied in each category — one of the most-requested changes from long-time users.
Categories that fit your child
The built-in lists do not cover every family, so you can add your own — behaviors, triggers, places, responses, what helped, and how things ended (triggers and what-helped are called precipitators and mitigators in the chart names). Subscribers can make a category global, so it works across all their children, and get shared categories too: everyone logging for the same child picks from the same list, so one person's “Grandma’s house” and another’s “grandmas” do not become two entries and two half-charts.
See the patterns
The built-in charts surface how triggers, severity, location, and duration relate. A pile of moments becomes something you can actually read.
Track diet & medication
Note gluten, casein, and medication for each day. The kind of context that matters to many families.
A list or a calendar
Flip between a chronological log and a calendar that shows incident counts and health markers at a glance.
Capture the moment
Attach photos and videos to any incident and revisit them later in a per-child media gallery.
Every child, kept separate
The free version tracks one child. With a subscription — or the original iOS app — you can track as many children as you need, each with completely separate records, added by hand or imported from your contacts.
Share with people who help
Subscribers can invite family and caregivers as editors or viewers; everyone sees the same records, kept securely in one place.
Apple Watch & widget (iPhone only)
With a subscription on iPhone, an Apple Watch app logs an incident with a timer and Digital Crown severity. A Home Screen widget makes quick logging one tap away.
Your data, exportable
With a subscription — or the original iOS app — export everything to CSV for a spreadsheet, or to share with the doctor or therapist who supports your child.
